Characteristics and process of frosted glass tubes
Frosted glass tubes are based on high borosilicate glass (SiO₂ content 80±5%, B₂O₃ content 13±2%) 5, and are treated by surface sandblasting or acid etching to form a matte texture. They have both the heat resistance of high borosilicate glass (expansion coefficient 3±1×10⁻⁶/K) and the functional advantages of frosting technology 13.
Core characteristics:
Anti-slip and anti-glare: The frosted surface of the frosted glass tube improves the grip stability and avoids the risk of slipping during experimental operations; the matte surface reduces light reflection and facilitates microscopic observation 14.
High temperature resistance and chemical stability: It withstands temperature differences of -50℃~500℃, is resistant to strong acid and alkali corrosion (except hydrofluoric acid and hot phosphoric acid), and is suitable for high-pressure sterilization and corrosive environments 56.
Diversified processing: The specifications of outer diameter 1.0-80mm and wall thickness 0.5-12mm can be customized, and secondary processing such as silk screen printing and special-shaped cutting is supported 35.
